Project description

At the Löwencenter in Lucerne, Integral design-build AG realised a new practice for outpatient cardiovascular medicine across approximately 430 m², from initial consultation to turnkey handover as full-service partner. The design concept follows the principles of healing architecture: an environment that conveys medical competence while reducing stress.

At the heart of the practice stands a rounded timber monolith with a welcoming reception, around which three interconnected clusters of examination and consultation rooms as well as further functional spaces are organised. Organic forms, natural materials, timber surfaces and large-format nature motifs create orientation and calm for patients and team alike.
